BREAKING NEWS: Rangers recovery of the warrior key player sees Leon Balogun as the Rangers’ injury Helper today.
Balogun was replaced by John Souttar after just 22 minutes of the light Blues’ 3-0 win over Livingston.
Although Leon Balogun has sustained a “bad” injury, Philippe Clement believes there is a method to expedite his return to play.
After just 22 minutes of their 3-0 victory over Livingston, the Rangers center back was forced to come on. Following a confrontation with Shaun Donnellan that resulted in a severe face injury for Balogun, John Souttar was substituted for the Nigerian player. Although his manager believes the 35-year-old has fractured a bone, he is optimistic that the player will recover with the help of a protective mask, as he has in the past.
“Not good and good in a way,” said Clement. “It is not good because it is a bad injury, he probably broke something in his face. The positive side is he is a warrior and he is somebody with experience who already had things like that in the past. He believes he can be back fast with a mask so I hope that is the case. It is the medical staff who need to decide that.”
