SO SAD: Carolina Key players gives the Panthers a sick Super Bowl burn that was reminiscent of Taylor Swift.
Bryce Young, the rookie selected with the first overall pick, and the Carolina Panthers did not have the season that the team’s supporters likely had in mind. Though it should be acknowledged that he didn’t have much support from either his wide receiving core or his offensive line, Young did not quite live up to the enormous expectations placed upon his shoulders as the number one choice for Carolina, who won just two games throughout the season.
Actor and comedian Keegan Michael-Key, who hosted the NFL Honors awards show on CBS on Thursday night, recently found himself roasting the Panthers. “Taylor Swift is now in Tokyo. According to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team on X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter, Key stated, “The only thing farther from the Super Bowl is the Carolina Panthers.”
In fact, the Panthers were not even close to making it to the grandest stage of the game this season, nor have they been since they lost to the Denver Broncos in the 2015–16 Super Bowl, which was coached by MVP Cam Newton. To be a competitive NFL club again, the Panthers will require a lot of changes this offseason. When the Panthers appointed Dave Canales as their next head coach, they have put the first domino into motion.
The fact that the team will not be receiving their first-round draft pick this year will not help them in their quest to drastically bolster their squad.
