Dan Quinn, the defensive coordinator for the Cowboys, is still in the running for the head coaching positions in Seattle and Washington. On Tuesday, Quinn paid the Commanders a second visit.

When questioned about Quinn’s status from the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama, Cowboys general manager Jerry Jones offered his thoughts on the DC but offered little further.

“He is an exceptional coach,” he remarked. Dan has been helpful to us; we’ll see where it goes from here. I would like to state only that we believe he is exceptional.

DeMarcus Lawrence, Jake Ferguson, and Tyler Smith, the latter two of whom received their first-ever Pro Bowl selection in Year 2 of their bright careers, were added to the list of Dallas Cowboys who will be attending the 2024 NFL Pro Bowl this year. Dak Prescott and Zack Martin, however, will not be traveling with them.

Having been selected for the Pro Bowl for the third time in his career, Prescott has chosen not to go to this year’s game. Instead of an injury, he made this decision because he was expecting his first child. Baker Mayfield, the quarterback, will take his place.

In addition, Martin has decided not to participate because his family is expecting a new member—Smith will take Martin’s place as the most recent Cowboy to welcome a newborn into his family in recent months. Prescott, who is expecting his first child in March, is among the increasing number of people he joins.

With Prescott and Martin having chosen not to participate, the Cowboys will send a total of eight players—the most since the 2007 season (13—to the Pro Bowl festivities.

In 2024 and beyond, the Dallas Cowboys might witness the emergence of a divisional opponent in the form of Kellen Moore, assuming their relationship materializes with an irate NFC East rival.

A potential shake-up may be coming to Los Angeles with the hiring of Jim Harbaugh as head coach of the Chargers, and the Philadelphia Eagles are eager to talk to Moore about their open offensive coordinator post.

Moore may be wearing Kelly Green very soon. It’s still early in the process and unclear where he will wind up in 2024 as a quarterback for the Cowboys and now an offensive coordinator.

The Dallas Cowboys must immediately focus on NFL free agency now that the summer has suddenly come. To start, they must secure internal players they would rather not see go unclaimed. The list is expanding quickly as they can now start signing players to Reserve/Futures contracts.

They released/waived wide receiver Martavis Bryant before to the playoffs, but he was re-signed by the team on Wednesday. After his indefinite suspension was overturned, Bryant joined the team late in the 2023 season. He immediately showed promise and is worth a second look.

Running back Malik Davis, who signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2022, will be playing with Bryant in his third season.

He will face Snoop Conner, a fresh face in the organization who was a running back for Ole Miss before being selected by the Jaguars in the fifth round of the 2022 draft.
