Brendan Rodgers will take against interim Dons manager Peter Leven in the Sky Sports broadcast match. Barry Robson was fired midweek due to a dismal run of losses.

The goal for Celtic is to lead the league by eight points before Rangers take on a weak Livingston team. In light of this, it is imperative that the Hoops exert all effort to win all three points at Pittodrie.

During the January transfer window, Rodgers added Nicolas Kuhn and deadline-day acquisition Adam Idah to his roster. He also stated that Idah, who was brought in on loan from Norwich City, would play against Aberdeen.

However, the manager had some gut-wrenching news to confirm about Reo Hatate at his Friday press conference as well as a disheartening update on Cameron Carter-Vickers. Rodgers also provided a brief note on the fitness of Tomoki Iwata.

Reo Hatate participated in his nation’s last-sixteen triumph over Bahrain on January 31 while traveling with Japan for the Asian Cup.

But barely 36 minutes into the game, the midfield player’s calf injury sadly forced him off the field. The head of Japan, Hajime Moriyasu, then acknowledged Hatate’s injury but refrained from giving any more information.

At his news conference in Lennoxtown today, Brendan Rodgers said just what the Celtics supporters did not want to hear.

When asked how Hatate was doing right now, the Northern Irishman said, “From what I’ve seen, it looks like he’s actually done both of his calves.” Based on what I’ve heard, he will likely be five to six weeks old.

This means that in terms of injuries, we’ve had terrible luck thus far this season. He will therefore return to us very soon, at which point we will begin his therapy and work to get him back as fit as possible.

Carter-Vickers, Cameron

Supporters conjectured that Cameron Carter-Vickers had sustained yet another injury since Gustaf Lagerbielke’s departure from Celtic was thwarted in January.

As it happens, that is precisely what has occurred. In addition to confirming this, Rodgers disclosed when the American defender will be back.

When asked if Rodgers will be out as long as Hatate, he said, “No, not as long.” The medical staff is most likely estimating three weeks.

“He’s back in the training field, so we’re still waiting on that,” Aaron Rodgers told the media.

Tomoki Iwata

After being requested to provide an update on Tomoki Iwata’s current injury, Rodgers provided a quick summary. Iwata is a versatile Japanese periphery player.

“He’s back in the training field, so we’re still waiting on that,” Aaron Rodgers told the media.
