BRUTALLY NEWS: Cowboys’ interview for their new Defensive Coordinator head Coach today.
Cowboys’ defensive coordinator interview with a different Jets coach
The Dallas Cowboys believe that the New York Jets will provide the missing piece to their playoff triumph, for whatever reason. Following reports that former Jets head coach Rex Ryan had interviewed for the Cowboys’ open defensive coordinator position, it was revealed that coach Mike McCarthy and owner Jerry Jones were also speaking with Marquand Manuel, the current New York safeties coach.
ESPN reports that Marquand will have an interview with the Cowboys on Thursday at their Frisco, Texas, headquarters. The Cowboys’ prospects to take Dan Quinn’s position, who departed to take the helm as head coach of the Washington Commanders, have mostly met the same qualifications: seasoned coaches with prior coordinator experience. Ryan, former Giants coordinator Wink Martindale, former Commanders head coach Ron Rivera, and former Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer have all been interviewed thus far.

Since 2021, he has been a member of the Jets. Over the last three regular seasons, the Cowboys have defeated the Jets twice as many times (36 to 18), yet they have only emerged victorious in the postseason once. The Cowboys are looking to Gang Green for answers, both past and present.
