JUST NOW: Dolphins have sign a new linebackers coach staff.
Ryan Crow, a former Titans outside linebackers coach, joins the Dolphins staff
Ryan Crow, the outside linebackers coach, is another addition to defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver’s coaching staff, which he expanded upon in his first year. He was with the Tennessee Titans for the last six seasons before taking over as an outside linebackers coach in 2021.
The Miami Dolphins were interested in employing Crow, according to MMQB senior reporter Albert Breer. The Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, and Seattle Seahawks were also interested in him.
According to the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson, former Dolphins outside linebackers coach Ryan Slowik, who also interviewed for the team’s defensive coordinator position, will remain on the staff. That said, his position has not been announced.
Earlier this week, the Dolphins appointed Joe Barry, a former defensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers, to teach their inside linebackers. Miami’s average of 23.2 points allowed in 2023 put them in 22nd place; but, during the last three weeks of the season, that figure skyrocketed to 34.3.
The Dolphins will compete with their -$50 million salary cap space before the league season starts on March 15 when the coaching staff is finalized.
During Super Bowl week, celebrities emerge from hiding, including former NFL players who have achieved legendary status. The stroll down “Radio Row” this year is the same as last.
Before Sunday’s big game, former Miami Dolphins quarterback and one of the best players in football history, Dan Marino, spoke with a variety of media personalities on Wednesday. He spoke with ESPN’s Pat McAfee on a wide range of subjects, including the Miami Dolphins, M&Ms, Ace Ventura, Hard Knocks, and how many yards he would throw for in the modern NFL.
