Prior to the Super Bowl, the NFL had its annual Honors Awards. Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, had a dismal night as he only received one first-place vote and ended fifth in the MVP poll.

The true surprise, though, was that Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco defeated Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who lost two games to death on the field against the Cincinnati Bengals, in the Comeback Player of the Year category.

The Comeback Player of the Year Award should have been secured by Hamlin’s mere act of playing one snap following his death. Rather, Joe Following the announcement, it was revealed that 47 high schools in Nevada would receive a $100,000 donation of automated external defibrillators from Hamlin’s nonprofit, Chasing M’s.

New assistant defensive line coach hired by the Bills
As part of their ongoing effort to improve its defensive coaching staff, the Buffalo Bills have appointed Matt Edwards, a former Las Vegas Raiders assistant, as defensive line coach. Edwards was the Raiders’ pass rush specialist and defensive assistant. He formerly worked for Mike Vrabel’s Tennessee Titans as an assistant special teams coach and defensive assistant.
