Report: Baker Mayfield to Carolina Panthers could happen very soon - Sports Illustrated Cleveland Browns News, Analysis and More

When Baker Mayfield played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, his career took a turn for the better.
Mayfield was a player for the Cleveland Browns, Carolina Panthers, and finally the Los Angeles Rams prior to his tenure in Tampa.

His brief and insignificant stay in Charlotte was followed by another. His career was on the verge of ending. However, Mayfield is in a position to take shots at the Panthers after a stellar season with Tampa Bay, and he isn’t holding back.

“It begins at the top,” Mayfield recently stated on First Things First. “Your gamers will become distracted when there are a lot of voices speaking behind the scenes. They’re not in a position to succeed and play freely because of what you’re doing. Thus, arriving in Tampa was invigorating for me.
Now, Mayfield refrained from blaming the Panthers for the issue. However, anyone can add two and two and obtain the same result.

Mayfield was a byproduct of the previous Matt Rhule-led administration during his fruitless time with the Panthers. To make things work, Mayfield didn’t have enough skill surrounding him, and the offense was clumsy and unproductive.

David Tepper, who has cultivated a reputation in the NFL as a team owner who meddles in team matters excessively, is also somewhat to blame.

That was the case with Mayfield. It’s the same with Bryce Young now. It should therefore come as no surprise that Mayfield is making subtle references to the team that nearly ended his career.
