OFFICIAL NEWS: Chelsea is training in anticipation of a 24-hour transfer decision……
A Chelsea player skips training in anticipation of a 24-hour transfer decision.
Diego Moreira will return to Chelsea in the next 24 hours following his stint at Lyon, sources say.
Reports from France revealed Lyon’s intention to terminate Moreira’s loan period this month, so reducing his duration by six months.
Moreira, who had played for Chelsea in their Carabao Cup victory against AFC Wimbledon on August 30, signed in the latter stages of the summer transfer window.
Moreira will stay with the Blues until the summer after Lyon decided to allow him to rejoin the team. This is because the regulations prevent him from playing for a third team this season because he is currently a member of two.
Moreira has two choices: he can continue to practice with Mauricio Pochettino’s first team group, or he can play football for the Under-21s, where he has already made three appearances this season.
He’s about to return to Chelsea. Fabrice Hawkins said that Moreira skipped training on Sunday. He is anticipated to return to London in the next 24 hours, and an official announcement is probably on the horizon.
Three players from Chelsea’s loan periods have already been summoned back this month. After arriving back from Union Berlin, David Datro Fofana spent the remainder of the season with Burnley.
