Miami Dolphins News 5/31/23: Dolphins getting some cap relief soon - The Phinsider

Accidents. Accidents. More wounds. As the season came to an end, injuries ravaged the Miami Dolphins edge rushers. Jaelan Phillips, who had been suffering with ailments since the start of the season, was the first to suffer from a torn Achilles tendon during the Black Friday game. After a month, Andrew Van Ginkel sustained a foot injury in the regular season finale, ending his season, and Bradley Chubb tore his ACL. With Phillips and Chubb as starters, the Dolphins have a problem. Van Ginkel exceeded the terms of the one-year contract and is about to enter free agency.

The Dolphins awarded him, but in the next free agency, he can receive a better offer from other organizations. If Phillips and Chubb are not ready for the 2024 season to begin, the Dolphins might need to find some substitute starters.
