NFL DRAFT TRADE: Carolina Panthers arrangement for NFL Draft 2024.
Carolina Panthers NFL Draft Handbook for 2024.
The NFL season of 2023 is now officially concluded. Draft season has arrived! The Carolina Panthers endured a forgettable season, and the future doesn’t appear promising. Last season, they made a trade-up to select Bryce Young first overall. C.J. Stroud appears to have the makings of a Hall of Famer. They finished as the top overall pick once more despite just winning one game this season. The Chicago Bears are entitled to that selection, though. What is this team’s draft potential? The Carolina Panthers 2024 NFL Draft guide can be found here.
Carolina Panthers NFL Draft Selections for 2024
Round 2 of the 2024 NFL Draft has six picks for the Carolina Panthers, starting at 33 overall.
Round 3: total number of 65
Round 4: total ranking of 102
No. 141 overall in Round 5 (via Tennessee)
Fifth round: overall no. 165 (via San Francisco)
Round 6: total score of 180 (via Arizona)
No selection is made until the second round by the Carolina Panthers. They wouldn’t have had as much draft capital if not for a few transactions.
The loss of the first overall pick is the main focus. One of the most lopsided deals in NFL history was the one from the previous year. The Chicago Bears appear to have a bright future, but the Panthers’ prospects are somewhat dismal. But there’s possibility between the draft and free agency.
NFL Draft Needs for the Carolina Panthers
The following positions are needed by the Carolina Panthers: Everything, I’m only kidding a little. Though there are undoubtedly more urgent requirements, the Panthers’ roster needs to be completely rebuilt. After selecting Bryce Young, they now have to develop their strategy around his skill set. The two areas most in need are wide receiver and offensive line.
Young needs to be given more protection than he received in 2023. No matter how skilled you are at throwing the ball, it won’t matter if you don’t have enough time.
It is not ideal for the wide receiver position if Adam Theilen leads the team in receptions in 2023. Theilen is an excellent veteran, but he has passed his peak. A dynamic pass-catcher is required by the team to go with their inexperienced quarterback. Defensive requirements also exist. For two years, there have been trade speculations surrounding Brian Burns, and Jaycee Horn has a history of injuries. Everywhere they look, they require assistance.
Draft Mock
The NFL Mock Draft Database is used for mock drafts. There were no transactions made. Teams will naturally haggle, but the purpose of this is to show you what the club can do with the draft capital they now possess.
Mock Draft for the Carolina Panthers
Round 2: total ranking of 33 Duke’s Graham Barton IOL
Round 3: total number of 65 Kansans Cooper Beebe IOL
Round 4: total ranking of 102 Jonathan Brooks (RB) Texas Round 5: 141st place overall Louisville WR Jamari Thrash
Round 5: Total score of 165 Round 6: Ainias Williams, wide receiver, Texas A&M; 180th overall Washington, Roger Rosengarton, OT Analyzing a Mock Draft
I was only thinking about offense. The Carolina Panthers can have a significant impact on the offensive end of the ball rather than attempting to make little adjustments here and there. Rosengarton was a member of a Washington offensive line that won awards, and Barton and Beebe may start in the first week. The objective is once more to keep Bryce Young safe. There’s no way one of these players won’t hit.
The Carolina Panthers also upgrade their skill positions. Brooks is one of the top running backs in the class. If Carolina had a stronger running game, it would take a lot of pressure off of Young. There is a reason the Eagles let Miles Sanders walk. Thrash and Williams are high-upside receivers. Between those two and second-year receiver Jonathan Mingo, one of them is bound to pan out.
It doesn’t look good for the Carolina Panthers right now. However, a good draft can change everything. Another piece of good news? If they finish with the worst record in the league again, they will get to pick first in 2025.
