BREAKING NEWS: Davante Adams of Las Vegas offensive coaching in meet with Green Bay Packers coaches staff for the.
Three former Green Bay Packers coaches are on staff at the Las Vegas Raiders, who provide Davante Adams with offensive coaching.
Following a dismal 2023 campaign, the Las Vegas Raiders are making a strong impression. They had one of the most unsightly quarterback rooms in the NFL when they fired head coach Josh McDaniels halfway through the season. The Raiders terribly underperformed, even though Antonio Pierce was able to save some kind of respectability.
On offense, this is especially true. Aiden O’Donnell was mediocre, Bryan Hoyer played as predicted in his lone start—that is, poorly—and Jimmy Garoppolo did not work out. Outside of the quarterback position, Davante Adams and Josh Jacobs experienced disappointing seasons.
Adams participated in all 17 games in 2023, hauling in 103 passes for 1,144 yards and eight touchdowns. For any other wide receiver, that would have been a fantastic year, but by Adams’ standards, it was a poor year. It was actually the worst statistical year for him since 2019.
With the Green Bay Packers in 2019, Adams caught 83 passes for 997 yards and five touchdowns. And he participated in just 12 games, huh?
Adams had a season average of 112 catches, 1,481 yards, and 14 touchdowns between 2020 and 2022. During that time, he twice led the NFL in touchdowns and established a team record for receiving yards in a season with the Packers.
Thus, 103 receptions for 1,144 yards and eight touchdowns is, as absurd as it may sound, a subpar year for the six-time Pro Bowl player.
However, the Raiders can improve on this disappointing season, as they demonstrated by appointing or keeping three of his former Green Bay Packers coaches.
The most well-known figure is undoubtedly offensive coordinator Luke Getsy, who coached Adams’ wide receivers in Green Bay from 2016 to 2017. He was with the Packers from 2014 to 2015 as an offensive quality control coach. Adams was picked in 2014, of course.
In 2016, Adams, incidentally, made a significant advancement in his NFL career. Before that season, his cumulative
