OFFICIAL NEWS: Carolina panthers in massive battle while fending off several attackers.
At a 7-on-7 competition, Cam Newton gets into a massive battle while fending off several attackers.
During his 7v7 tournament, former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was involved in a major altercation.
The former NFL great can be seen attempting to break up a fight at the event in a video that has since gone viral. The situation worsened when an unexpected sucker punch from a member of the TSP [Top Shelf Performance] team, who was competing in Newton’s event, was delivered. Newton consequently had to defend himself from other individuals.
A man in black attempted to leap on Newton’s back during the fight. Another person in a white shirt punched another person in the crowd at the same moment. After that, Newton was up against three separate men to protect himself. He dragged the first man across the room by his backpack.
Security personnel intervened to break up the altercation, but Newton then shoved two more people away. The Atlanta local police have not yet issued a statement, and it is still unclear why there was a fight during the competition.
While most viewers of the video were shocked, some questioned how Newton managed to repel so many attackers while remaining injury-free and wearing his hat the entire time.
One individual said: “Cam Newton grabbed one guy by the dreads and threw him off stage, then he put another guy in a bear grip and swung him like a child, all the while keeping his hat on his head. Give up the notion that you can touch professional players.”
“Cam just casually dragging around the one guy like a football,” was another response. A supporter of Newton continued the hat motif by writing: “All that, and his hat never even fell off.”
Newton was selected by the Carolina Panthers with the first overall choice in the 2011 NFL Draft. He immediately had a significant impact, setting rookie records and taking home the AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year title.
Everyone was familiar with Newton from his exciting playing style while he was a member of the Panthers. He had good ball throwing and running speed. His style of play altered the way that people searched for new players to fill his position, which produced incredible players such as Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson.
2015 became Newton’s finest NFL season to date. He was selected to the Pro Bowl three times, in 2011, 2013, and 2015. He guided the Panthers to a thrilling 15-1 record and a trip to Super Bowl 50. He received the Offensive Player of the Year and NFL MVP awards that season. Newton has stated that he wants to be a starting quarterback in the NFL again.
